ASUS unveiled its 10.2-inch Atom-based netbook 'N10' in Korea market during 'ASUS World 2008'. Adopting a 10.2-inch LED backlight display, the N10 is equipped with GeForce 9300GS and Intel N270 processor.

Asus präsentiert heute sein drittes Eee PC Familienmitglied, den Eee PC 901. Als Hauptprozessor kommt im Eee PC 901 Intels Atom N270 Prozessor mit einer Taktfrequent von 1,6 GHz zum Einsatz. In Verbindung mit der Akkukapazität von 6600 mAh und der Asus eigenen Energiesparfunktion „Super Hybrid Engine“ soll der Nutzer am UMPC Eee PC 901 bis zu 7 Stunden lang unabhängig vom Netzstrom arbeiten können.

Von der Optik her reiht sich der 1,1 Kilogramm leichte UMPC in die Riege der Netbooks mit Hochglanzgehäuse in den Farben Schwarz und Weiß ein. Als Speicher soll ein stoßresistenter SSD-Flash-Speicher mit 12 GByte an Bord sein. Der Eee PC 901 soll weiterhin ein 8,9-Zoll-LCD, eine 1,3-Megapixel-Webcam sowie eine schnelle Bluetooth-Schnittstelle integrieren. Wireless LAN nach dem 802.11n-Standard, drei USB- sowie ein VGA-Port sind ebenfalls an Bord. Laut Asus soll der Eee PC 901 ein breites Publikum ansprechen. Der kompakte Eee PC 901 ist ab dem 18. August in den Farben schwarz und weiß im Fachhandel und in Retailmärkten zum Preis von Euro 379,- (EVP inkl. MwSt.) erhältlich.

Korean OEM manufacturer Ripple has introduced an updated version of its Mac Mini clone using a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor in the Mini-ITX form factor. The Ripple Mini Chocolate uses the 45nm i945GC-Northbridge and ICH7Ssouthbridge chipsets, and supports up to 2GB of RAM. Intel specs show the low-cost motherboard with 2 USB ports, a pair of 3.0GBs SATA conntectors and single IDE socket.
